LEWISTON – The Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center will feature the art of Jeannette K. Heath and Tammy Dube during August.

Heath was born in Mexico, graduated from Mexico High School and now lives in retirement with her husband, Robert Heath, in Peru.

Heath studied art at the University of Maine at Farmington with Professor J. Thomas Higgins and at the Rumford/Mexico Learning Center with Eileen Hoey-Kerr. She concentrates on two broad themes – still lifes of objects found around her house and scenes taken from her neighborhood. She works in oils on stretched canvas.

Dube of Artistic Heirlooms in Mechanic Falls also will display in August. She is a self-taught artist. She grew up in northern Maine, a setting that has provided her with an appreciation of nature. She specialized in painting portraits of people and pets, working in oil, pastel and ink.

The exhibit may be viewed in the main corridor of Central Maine Medical Center throughout August. Information on purchasing the items on exhibit is available at the Gift Shop.

The Woman’s Hospital Association is an organization that supports Central Maine Medical Center and its patients by promoting the health and welfare of the community and by raising money to fund special projects.

Those who are interested in membership or the monthly artist showings should call the WHA at 795-2295.
