LEWISTON – The 2003-04 membership of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council was appointed by Mayor Laurier T. Raymond Jr. on July 15. The 12 youths have completed an application/interview process and will serve a one-year term.

The youth council was established in July of 2002. The mission is to serve as an advisory council to the Lewiston City Council in regard to community issues affecting youth.

The council serves as a liaison between the youth of the community and the city. The council also enables youth to work toward goals that empower all of the community’s youth and undertake service projects that enhance the community.

Council members are Tarrah Bowen, Katie Lauze, Kayla Leet, Melanie Morin, Jonathan Isacco, Tim Williams, Allyson Beaucage, Kelin Sevit, Lisa Kimball, Charlie Kimball, Ryan Reed and Isha Mahamud.
