WILTON – Nine members of the Wiltona Women’s Club visited the Falls Taxidermy Studio and Museum in Dixfield on Sept. 7. The process used to preserve the animals was demonstrated on a deer.
Following the demonstration, members visited the museum. Many local or native animals are on display, all in natural setting. The walls of the museum are painted in scenes to enhance the settings.
Following the visit, members traveled to Rowe’s for lunch. Wiltona women will meet at the home of Jean Rand at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, where Shannon Smith will speak on “Blueberry Festivals – Past, Present and Future.”
Blood drive
FARMINGTON – There will be a special Columbus Day blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital, Bass Education Room.
