WEST PARIS – The West Paris Majorettes are the new Western Maine baton twirling champions, and Dacia Dow is this year’s Miss Oxford Mills Majorette.

The annual Western Maine Baton Twirling Competition was held at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School recently. The West Paris show and competition teams placed first.

Teams from Waterford, Oxford and South Paris also competed Tiny tot teams (ages 2 to 6) from West Paris, Waterford and Oxford presented noncompetitive performances.

Also featured was the award winning Oxford Hills Majorette Senior Team, which placed third among 30 teams from southern Maine and Massachusetts in this year’s Saco open. Individual twirlers competed as well.
