AUGUSTA – Kathy Arsenault was presented the Bill Diamond Award by Timothy Poulin from the Secretary of State’s office at the 10th annual meeting of the Informed Notaries of Maine at the Augusta Civic Center.
The award is presented each year in honor of former Secretary of State and charter member of the group, William Diamond. It honors an individual who has made major contributions in educating notaries in Maine.
Arsenault demonstrated leadership with her organizational skills as vice president for the group whose goal is to ensure that Maine notaries are educated about the legal, ethical and technical facets of performing a notarial act. The group provides training on how to notarize documents, perform civil wedding ceremonies and act as a signing agents for mortgage companies.
Arsenault is a long-time employee of Bates College and resides in Lewiston with her husband, Donald.
