FRYEBURG – The Fryeburg Fish and Game Association Inc. will meet Monday, Sept. 13, at the Fryeburg New Church on Oxford Street. A dinner will be provided by the church auxiliary. A $7 donation will be accepted.
President Jim Holt will call the first meeting of the season to order. He requests that all directors attend to assist in planning the year’s events. He invites old members and all who enjoy the outdoors to attend.
George Fogg of the Falmouth club, a will known shooter and hand-loader, will speak on “Silhouette Shooting” and what the Fryeburg group will have to do to institute a program at the state range.
There will also be a discussion about what the association might do to promote opposition to the anti-bear hunting referendum in November.
The club will also have a booth at the Fryeburg Fair and it will be necessary for many members to sign up for booth coverage.
George Smith of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine will be the principal speaker at the meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Fryeburg Fire Station. He will address the bear hunting referendum.
