PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at the VFW Hall, East Main Street, South Paris. Speaker will be Karen Toohey of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Services. She will discuss nutrition. Anyone 50 and over is welcome.

Extension program

OXFORD – The Oxford Homemakers Extension will meet Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Anderson-Staples Legion Hall. The business meeting will begin at 10 a.m. New members are welcome from Oxford and surrounding towns. After the meeting the program will be a “Show and Tell” on crafts and hobbies. Members are encouraged to bring their collections.

Members are reminded to bring their sandwiches and dessert, and coffee will be provided by the committee of Georgia Curtis and Elaine Potter. For more information call Liz at 743-8091.

Crafters wanted

OXFORD – Oxford Fire and Rescue will host a Harvest Craft Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. The committee is looking for interested crafters. Cost for space is $10 and $15.

There will also be a Chinese auction, bake sale and the Fire Auxiliary will host a luncheon.

Installation set

WEST PARIS – Joint installation of West Paris Grange 298 and Franklin Grange 124 will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, at the West Paris Grange Hall 4, Church St.

There will be a 6:30 supper, West Paris Grange to provide the hot dishes and Franklin to provide salads or desserts.
