AUBURN – Cmdr. Thomas Trottier, Capt. Frank W. Hulett Post 1603, Veterans of Foreign Wars, announces bi-weekly breakfasts will begin Sunday, Sept. 12, at the post home, 588 Minot Ave.
Trottier said, “We are anxious to start our breakfasts for the second year as the profits help us keep our commitments to our community and our veterans.”
The profit from September through November will benefit the Auburn Blue Christmas. December and January will be for the New Auburn Little League, March for the VFW Operation Uplink phone cards for overseas and hospitalized veterans and April for the National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids, Mich.
Cost for one egg, bacon, sausage, home-fries and toast is $3; for two eggs, bacon, sausage, home-fries and toast, $3.50; and two eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, home-fries and toast, $4. Sales tax, coffee and juice are included in the prices. The breakfast, open to the public, are held from 8 to 10 a.m.
Cooking on the grill will be master chef Trottier; pancakes, Danny Theriault; toast, Roger Ducharme; heading order distribution, Sandra Ducharme; wait staff, Brenda Vickery; and greeter, Donald W. Linscott Jr.
