Did you know that Alaska isn’t all snow? There is some grassland, but there’s also snow. Granted snow in Alaska is much more fierce, I mean people die from the coldness in Alaska, but here, in Maine, in Lewiston, Auburn, Leeds, Turner, and Green, snow here is warm to the people in Alaska.
The reason that I’m writing about Alaska is that a little while ago, in Social Studies we watched a movie about Alaska and I didn’t really know that they had grasslands in Alaska. Another thing that I thought was pretty cool was that they had some of the same things we had.
There were a lot of things that I didn’t know about Alaska, like in some parts they only have about three and a half hours of daylight, did you know that? I sure didn’t!! Although in some parts of Alaska there was up to about 22 hours of sunlight. Can you imagin going to sleep in light and waking up in light? I would think that it would be hard to sleep when you could see everything that was happening outside!
Well, now you know how amazing Alaska should be to all of you! I know it’s amazing to me!!!
