JAY – Nine students from Jay High School were inducted into membership of the National Honor Society in an evening candlelighting ceremony on May 20. Gilbert Eaton, principal at Skowhegan, was the guest speaker.
Members were selected by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character.
The students inducted were Brandon Purrington, Jaime Melcher, Darren Roundy, Ella Coffren, Sara DeMillo, Jaclyn Lautz, Jenna Lord, Ashley Uhuad and Kristen Uhuad. The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students.
