STRONG — The Strong Nursing Home honored employees who had perfect attendance for 2002. A luncheon was held in their honor and employees were presented with a certificate, a perfect attendance pin and a flower.
One third of the entire staff earned this honor. Administrator Paula Varney was quick to acknowledge these employees for their outstanding work ethic, dedication to the residents and their co-workers. She states, “It is obvious that these people see themselves as a valuable part of the team.”
Varney said it is also noteworthy that of the 11 people hired during 2002, 82 percent of those employees also had perfect attendance from their date of hire.
As the group was enjoying lunch together, it was discovered that not only had some employees had perfect attendance for the past year, but also for several years in a row. Joyce Savage noted that she has had perfect attendance for 10 years running.
Kathy Lambert can count on one hand how many days she has missed in 20 years. Iva Stefani and Deborah Wing said the same regarding their 20 plus years with the facility.
Those honored for perfect attendance were: Vincent Harden, Pete Howard, Eloise Stevens, Annamaria Beal, Rosie Bates, Kathy Lambert, Erica Gordon, Joyce Savage, Carissa Milbury, Iva Stefani, Deborah Wing, Nancy Pruett, Charlene Corbett, Shosha Beal, Joan Cole, Terri Walker, June Allen, Sarah Beal, Karen Foster, Jeannette Holt, Sandra Maccarronne, April Thorndike and Jane Snell.
