RUMFORD – Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council will hold area parent informational and registration meetings. The public is welcome to attend to register their children for Girl Scouts and to find out more about Girl Scout activities in their community.

Rumford, 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Rumford Elementary School.

Peru/Canton, 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Peru Elementary School.

Mexico, grades seven through 12, fun event, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Mountain Valley Middle School.

Parents may also learn about volunteer options available for adults. Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council provides programs for more than 10,000 girls ages 5 to 17. More than 3,200 adults are members as well.
