Bryan Cook, son of David and Crystal Cook of Avon, a 2002 graduate of Mt. Abram High School in Salem, recently graduated from Loring Job Corps Center in Limestone. At graduation Cook received the Outstanding Performance Award from Autoworks Enterprise as the outstanding student in his department. He also received the Center Director Graduate Award given to the top student in the graduating class.
Accomplishments listed for Cook at graduation were service as assistant and head wing leader, an achieved evaluation rating of gold x 9, and one of two students to complete all seven levels in auto/diesel.
Cook was the only student to receive his Maine motor vehicle inspection license and to take automotive service excellence exams at the center. He was chosen by the graduating class as one of two marshals.
Cook was one of two students to represent Loring Center at the 2005 National Conference in Washington, D.C. He also represented auto/diesel at two open houses and appeared in a local TV commercial for Loring Job Corps Center. His off-site work program was with the Caribou Public Works Dept. Cook is employed at Farmington Ford.
