OXFORD – Bartow Construction, general contractor for a new home at 163 Black Island Road, was aware of the presence of a landscaping company on site at the time of a propane leak on Thursday. The landscaping company was working for the homeowners and not Bartow Construction. The B1 story in Friday’s Oxford Hills edition should also have noted that the shutdown of electricity and equipment was completed by Ken Bartow, who also assisted with the evacuation of the premises prior to emergency personnel arriving. The information was unclear.
