JAY – An article that appeared in Friday’s Franklin County edition incorrectly identified Robert Rivard, 22, of Maud Lane as having been stopped by Wilton police Tuesday and charged with trafficking in a Schedule Z drug after police confiscated 18 bags of individually wrapped marijuana from his car.

Rivard does not own a car and was not the man stopped.

Wilton police did stop and charge a man with that crime, but have declined to release the man’s name because he is an informant in the case.

Based on information obtained from the informant Tuesday, Rivard was charged at his home Wednesday with trafficking in a Schedule Z drug by Jay police.

The information was incorrectly provided to the Sun Journal by Wilton police.
