In reference to a story on B8 of Friday’s paper, Don Leaver is a vice president at Central Maine Medical Center and John Fields is an administrative vice president. Both men will no longer be working for the hospital because of budget cuts the hospital has initiated.
While hospital officials anticipate ending the fiscal year June 30 in the black, CMMC currently faces a $3 million loss in Medicaid reimbursement for the year, which is one reason for the hospital’s budget cuts.
