PARIS – A 43-year-old man was sentenced to serve six months in jail Tuesday after admitting to sexual conduct against a young girl.

Linwood Curtis Lord, of 35 Paris Hill Road in Paris, was accused of touching the genitals of a 12-year-old girl in February of 2008. He pleaded guilty in the Oxford County Superior Court to a charge of unlawful sexual conduct and was sentenced to serve six months of a five-year prison sentence with two years of probation.

Lord must also register as a lifetime sex offender, take sex offender counseling, and have no contact with the girl or female children under the age of 16.

In 1988, Lord pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct against a girl under the age of 14. He was sentenced to serve 120 days of a four-year sentence, and required to register as a sex offender in 1999 due to new state laws.

The sentence will run concurrent to one Lord is serving. Last month, Lord was sentenced to serve a year and a day in prison on a federal firearms charge.

In that case, investigators seized two shotguns and a .45-caliber pistol from Lord’s home. He was forbidden to possess firearms due to his 1988 felony conviction.
