In a story under the headline “Unregistered sex offender caught,” on page 3 of the Jan. 8, 2009, Advertiser Democrat, the name of the arrested man was incorrect. The alleged unregistered sex offender was Scott Mayberry, whose name appeared correctly the week before. The reporter and the Advertiser Democrat regret any confusion or inconvenience that may have resulted.
