PARIS – An ambulance was called to the Paris Elementary School on Tuesday after a girl complained of dizziness and then went unconscious, SAD 17 Superintendent Mark Eastman said.

The girl had just arrived at school when she approached a teacher to say she was feeling dizzy. The girl lost consciousness in the presence of the school nurse, who called for the ambulance.

Eastman said the girl, a sixth-grader, was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital emergency room in Norway. No further information on the student was available Tuesday.
