AUBURN — Sixth Street Church will have a yard and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at 109 Sixth St.  

HEBRON — The East Hebron Extension Homemakers will hold the annual yard sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10, rain or shine on Townsend Road.

Money raised will be used to support the group’s community projects, which include donating items to the local food bank and women’s shelter, monetary donations to Christmas for Teens, Operation Santa Claus and the Maine Veterans Home in Paris, as well as donating time and materials for quilting projects with local second-graders.

WOODSTOCK — Thanks to the generosity of a local family, the Woodstock Historical Society will offer for sale a large amount of furniture and household items.

The proceeds from the estate sale will help recover some of the cost of the building’s new roof.

The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Museum building on North Main Street in Bryant Pond. Rain date is Sunday, June 10.

A short business meeting will follow the sale clean-up.

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers are sponsoring a bake sale to benefit the Chesterville Town Kitchen Fund on Tuesday, June 12, to coincide with the election.

The bake sale will begin at 8 a.m. when the polls open at the Chesterville Town Office on the Dutch Gap Road.

RUMFORD — The Friends of the Rumford Public Library will hold the annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the public room at the library. 

There will be hardcovers, paperbacks, children’s books and audio books. There will also be some plants for sale, donated by Nghia Ha of the Rumford Historical Society. Cost is donation to the Friends of the Rumford Public Library.

Donations of clean, used books will be accepted and may be brought to the library’s public room Wednesday through Friday, June 13 to 15. Textbooks and encyclopedias will not be collected.

Funds raised through the book sale enables the Friends to support programs and other special events, and have funded the purchase of furniture for the renovated reading room, in conjunction with the King Family Foundation Grant.
