OXFORD – Selectmen unanimously approved Thursday evening the exact text of all 49 warrant articles to be voted on by residents at the annual town meeting June 18.

The official warrant will be printed and made available to residents today for the first time, Town Manager Michael Chammings said.

Selectmen and budget committee members agreed on specific appropriation amounts for all 23 budget articles, and their recommendations will be noted on the warrant.

Residents will vote to fill one three-year seat on the Board of Selectmen. It is held by Lois Pike.

They will also vote to fill two school board vacancies, one for three years and another for one year.

Selectmen voted in May to keep an $168,921 appropriation for the town’s rescue department on the warrant instead of switching to PACE ambulance service. But Article 15 asks residents if they want the town to investigate “alternative rescue services” for the following fiscal year.

Voters have rejected attempts in the past to change service from Oxford Fire and Rescue.

The total recommended budget of the selectmen and budget committee is $2,958,740, down $167,168 from last year.

The annual town meeting will take place at 10 a.m. June 18 at the Oxford Elementary School on Pleasant Street.
