WEST PARIS – A yard sale will be held to benefit Moose Pond Animal Shelter on Route 219 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday, April 30.

Food sale

OXFORD – Employees of Oxford Homes will hold a food sale at the Manufactured Housing Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, at the Oxford Homes site. Proceeds will benefit Christmas for Kids in the Oxford Hills.

Employees have raised $2,500 toward their goal of $10,000 by Christmas. A food stand was built by the employees and named the Home Rock Cafe. The menu includes: “Big O Burgers,” home fries, colonial coffee, “Paul Bunyan hot dogs,” Cape Cod chips, and “Residential Refreshments.”

Missionaries speak

OXFORD – Hosanna Church will present Howard and Barbara Gard, missionaries with Church Triumphant of Antioch, Calif., at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1, at the church at 109 Schoolhouse Road. The Gards have served in Romania since before the fall of communism in December 1989. They are now in the Philippines, training Christians to build churches among the mountain tribal peoples of southern and central Mindanao.
