SOUTH PARIS – The Oxford County commissioners held a special meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday to interview candidates for emergency management agency director.
EMA Director Dan Schorr announced his resignation in March, and said he would stay until a new director is hired.
Administrative Assistant Carole Mahoney said Wednesday there are four candidates for the position.
“They’re all local,” she said.
The interviews will be conducted in executive session.
Mahoney said she tried to contact the Sun Journal on Tuesday so the public could be informed of the meeting, but hung up after being placed on hold.
She did not leave a message about the meeting until she called back Wednesday morning.
Mahoney said she did not know whether the commissioners would select a candidate after their closed-door session.
“I doubt it,” she said.
