OXFORD – Carter’s X-C Ski Center will hold its Oxford County 4-H Ski Day today at both centers on Route 26, Oxford and Bethel. It will hold its youth program winter carnival from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at both centers. For more information, phone 539-4848.

County meeting

OXFORD – The Oxford County Municipal Officers Association will meet at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Oxford Public Safety Building on Route 26. A social time and dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is $7 per person. The speaker will be Michael Starn, director of the Maine Municipal Association Communications and Educational Services. He will provide an overview of an act to increase the state share of educational costs, reduce property taxes and reduce government spending at all levels. He will speak about its implications for municipalities. All town officials are welcome to attend.
