Answer: Animal Precinct Special Investigator Diane DiGiacomo is a Humane Law Enforcement agent at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). According to her bio on the Animal Precinct Web site, she has been with the organization for four years and was previously a member of the New York City Police Department.

Rental deadline is April 13; set-up time is April 23 for renters. Otherwise, donated items may be dropped off the week of April 13. When you are ready, I have a big box of ready-to-use cloth strips cut by machine to give away. There are many colors all rolled up that I would like to give, too.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for anyone who has a collection of Shojo Beat and Shonen Jump manga back issues that they would be willing to donate to the Auburn Public Library Teenspace. The library has an Anime Club that meets the first and third Wednesday each month and the teens would be overjoyed to have them to look at.

Dear Sun Spots: I have several very nice stuffed animals in very good condition. We have tried to give them away to shelters and nonprofit organizations, but no one will take them. Most of these places need new items. Is there an organization or someone out in the community that can use them? We would prefer they are not sold for profit. Dear Sun Spots: I read your column everyday and think it is wonderful. I hope you can help me with this. I went on the Web site for PortionPals in February and ordered one item. I received my order in less than a week. When I received my credit card statement in March, I saw that I had two charges from them. One on Feb. 2 and one on Feb. 16, each charge was $21.93. I tried calling the number on the statement but that’s been disconnected and when you go on the Web site it says under construction. Do you know how I would get in touch with them to get a credit for one of the items? Thank you. – Gail, Lewiston.

Answer: Sun Spots was unable to locate a phone number for the business, but we sent an e-mail to portionpals@aol.com which included your name, town and information about the double billing.

We received a very prompt response from the customer service department at the company that noted they saw the accidental double billing. They said they have credited your account for $21.93 and that it make take up to a full business cycle to reflect on your account. They did not, however, provide a customer service phone number or the name of the representative who helped us.
