WOODSTOCK – Town Manager Vern Maxfield told selectmen Tuesday the outside work on the fire station addition is done and the inside work will be done before the March town meeting.
Maxfield said the framing, roof and metal sides were done by Brown Construction Co. of Portland, “and they have been a good company to work with. They have done a great job.”
The overhead doors will be installed by Overhead Door Co. of Lewiston later this week, and local cement contractor Marty Morgan plans to pour the floors in the next two weeks.
After that crews can go to work on the heating and electrical systems.
Maxfield said Brown Construction’s bill is expected to be $59,885 and Marty Morgan’s will be $28,500.
“The project is right on the schedule we expected and the costs are running as estimated so I would say this has been a good project right from the start,” Maxfield said.
