NORWAY – Larry J. Smith, 62, of Norway, died at his home on Wednesday, Nov.18.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 1, 1947, the son of Carl J. and Velma Strout Smith. He graduated from Portland High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Robinson Manufacturing in Oxford after 35 years. He was a very active member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering in his workshop. He truly enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Susanne Smith of Norway, whom he married on Nov. 30, 1969; a daughter, Laurie Smith of Norway; a son, Eric Smith of Norway; two grandchildren, Riley Smith and Adrienne Day; and a sister, Carlene Rogers and her husband, Donald, of Oxford.
