FRYEBURG – Roberta Muse of Fryeburg has been nominated to run for Maine House District 97 on the Republican ticket.

A special caucus was held Thursday evening at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds to nominate a candidate to replace state Rep. Kevin Muse, who passed away unexpectedly Aug. 7.

Roberta Muse will face Democrat Marlee Turner of Brownfield on the Nov. 2 ballot. Maine House District 97 comprises the towns of Fryeburg, Brownfield, Porter, Parsonsfield and Hiram.
