BETHEL – Aside from an executive session to discuss ongoing litigation, the Board of Selectmen agenda includes junkyards, Route 35 and the Palesky tax cap.

That meeting is to follow a special town meeting that starts at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, in the town office.

Officials are to:

• Review a draft letter for mailing to owners of nuisance and unlawful junkyard properties.

• Schedule a public hearing to consider removing the Route 35 designation on Vernon Street.

• Discuss an overview of the Palesky Tax Cap proposal for consideration in November’s statewide referendum.

The closed-door session involves an 8:30 p.m. phone conference with the town attorney to discuss Oakes versus town of Bethel, a road dispute.
