PARIS – A porch collapsed on a man Wednesday morning, sending him to the hospital with bruises.
Timothy Libby, 37, of Inman Road was fixing a neighbor’s porch when the structure crumpled on him, Sgt. Michael Dailey said Wednesday. The porch had earlier this week partially collapsed. Libby was attempting to jack it up again, Dailey said.
When Libby was reached at home, a family member said he was resting and unavailable for comment.
Dailey said the deck is about 20 feet wide, and rescue workers had to crawl underneath to pull Libby out.
It was unclear whether Libby was trapped or just too hurt or stunned to get out himself.
