RUMFORD – The following incidents were handled by the Rumford Police Department from 6 p.m. March 15 to 6 a.m. March 23.

Arrests/summonses:

March 16 at 6 p.m.: Michele Hobson, 36, of Rumford, summoned by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on charges of theft and burglary of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 5.

March 17 at 1:39 p.m.: Shane Richard, 23, of Rumford, arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on a 2009 warrant for failure to appear for unlawful possession of drugs. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

March 17 at 2:04 p.m.: Jay Walsh, 31, of Rumford, arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a warrant charging failure to appear for negotiating a worthless instrument out of Sanford. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

March 17 at 2:36 p.m.: Earland Tidswell, 54, of Rumford, summoned by Cpl. Doug Maifeld on a charge of assault. He is to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.

March 18 at 11:10 a.m.: Becky Simard, 36, of Rumford, summoned by Cpl. Doug Maifeld on a charge of operating after suspension. He is to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.

March 18 at 11:51 a.m.: Alex Helms, 21, of Bethel, arrested by Patrolman Donald Miller on a warrant charging failure to appear for failing to report a crash. He posted $100 cash bail and was released.

March 20 at 3:33 p.m.: Arthur Dunphe, 34, of Rumford, arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on several warrants from Hancock, Lincoln and Kennebec counties for failure to appear and failure to pay fines for operating after suspension. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

March 20 at 3:33 p.m.: Arthur Dunphe, 34, of Rumford, summoned by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on charges of possession of a useable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is to appear in Rumford District Court on May 5.

March 20 at 9:51 p.m.: Michael Ciliberti, 39, of Rumford, arrested by Sgt. David Bean on a charge of violation of a protection order. Ciliberti was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail. He is to appear in Rumford District Court on May 5.

March 22 at 11:25 a.m.: Elizabeth Barnett, 20, of Rumford, arrested by Patrolman Donald Miller on a charge of violation conditions of release.

Theft

March 15 at 11:04 p.m.: Rangeley resident reported the theft of their motor vehicle from High School. Cash, a camera, and two jackets worth approximately $1,400 were taken. The incident is under investigation.

March 22 at 10 p.m. High Street resident reported theft of $32 in gas from his vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

Wanted

Ruth Labrecque, 48, of Rumford is wanted on two warrants charging failure to pay fines for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.
