During Wednesday’s rain showers, Dixfield Public Works employee Randy Glover works on a set of indoor lights being used outdoors on the town Christmas tree in the common beside the Dixfield Historical Society building (in the background). Glover’s safety belt was connected to a bucket loader operated by Dick Frost. According to Leo Jolin, the trio plugged in the lights, which promptly went off in sections, including the star at the top.
