MEXICO – The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department recently.

Arrests

• Robert Heath, 25, Swett Avenue, warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of operating under the influence with injury, at 2:05 p.m., July 27, at Swett Avenue. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on $10,000 surety bail. He is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court on Sept. 18.

• Erik Hanson, 22, of River Road, domestic assault, at 3:06 p.m. July 26 at River Road. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on $300 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division on Sept. 9.

Vandalism

One or more all-terrain vehicle riders used a section of the snowmobile trail to enter the Oakdale Country Club off the River Road sometime Sunday night. About $2,000 damage was done to the fairway, greens and one flag pole. The report came into the Mexico Police Department at 6:38 a.m. July 28.

Theft

A Harlow Hill resident reported at 3:36 p.m. July 27 that someone had taken his temporary registration plate off his vehicle that was parked in his yard. The plate was taken sometime between 6 p.m. July 26 and 8 a.m. July 27.

Accident

Vehicles driven by Holly L. Timberlake, 41, Lancaster Street, Dixfield, and Mary K. Wilson, 81, Peru, collided at 4:55 p.m. July 26 at the Northern Oxford County transfer station off the River Road. Timberlake’s 2003 Mazda sports utility vehicle sustained $1,200 damage. Wilson’s 1995 Oldsmobile sedan sustained $2,500 damage.
