MEXICO – Nomination papers for several elective positions are available at the Town Office.

The signatures of at least 25 registered Mexico voters must be gathered, then the papers returned to the town office by 4 p.m. April 25.

Seats up for election on June 10 are those held by selectmen’s Chairwoman Barbara Laramee and Selectman Peter Merrill. Both seats are for three years.

The seat of SAD 43 director Liz Jorgensen is up for election. She is finishing a term begun by Randy Canwell.Voters will also act on articles that comprise the fiscal 2009 municipal budget.

The town voted to hold a secret ballot rather than a town meeting to approve a budget.

Both the budget and the election will be decided at the polls June 10.
