• Arthur T. Stephenson, 39, Townsend, Mass., operating under the influence, 1 a.m. July 14 on Bridge Street. He was released on $100 cash bail. He is to be arraigned on Oct. 3 in Rumford District Court.
• Gregg J. Gibbons, 19, domestic assault, 8:35 a.m. July 12 on Maine Avenue. He was released on $400 unsecured bail. An arraignment date had yet to be set by July 14.
Accidents
• 9:10 a.m. July 12 – Michael Langlais, 38, of Glenburn, N.D., driving a 2000 Chrysler convertible, backed out of a driveway onto Maple Street and into a 2000 Dodge Caravan being driven by Thomas Theriault, 56, of Rumford. Neither was injured. Damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $2,500; to the mini-van, $300.
• 8:17 p.m. July 10 – A three-vehicle accident happened on Route 2 on Falls Hill, injuring three children and an adult. A cause has yet to be determined, but those involved were: Scott Kenney, 35, of Rumford, who was driving a 1998 GMC Sierra pickup; Chastity Murphy, 31, of Mexico, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier; and Lowell Benson, 45, of Mexico, who was driving a 1998 Dodge Caravan mini-van.
Neither Kenney nor Benson were injured, but Murphy suffered a burn on her right arm and was treated at the scene by Med-Care Ambulance medics.
Six-year-old Kyle Kenney, a passenger in Scott Kenney’s truck, complained of back and neck pain and was taken by Med-Care to Rumford Hospital.
Nine-year-old Adam Benson and Aaron Benson, 14, passengers in Lowell Benson’s van, also complained of back and neck pain, but were examined at the scene by Med-Care and did not require transport.
Damage to Murphy’s car was estimated at $5,800; to Lowell Benson’s van, $1,200; and $1,000 to Scott Kenney’s pickup.
