GREENWOOD – A 14-year-old boy injured Saturday in a snow-tubing accident at Mount Abram Family Ski Resort is reportedly still hospitalized at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Resort owner Josh Burns said Tuesday afternoon in a phone interview that the youth suffered a concussion after falling off a tube and striking his head while descending the 1,325-foot-long course.

“I believe he is still at Maine Med. He was there yesterday,” said Burns, who declined to identify the boy.

He said Saturday’s injury, reported at 11:45 a.m., was the first serious accident at the state’s longest snow-tubing park.
