MEXICO – The Mexico Congregational Church will hold a Strawberry Festival from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 10. The so-called Green Church is on Route 2.

This year there will be a Strawberry bazaar to raise money for a lift to convey people between floors.

Volunteers will pick up fresh strawberries at the end of the week and people from the church will bake pies, breads, muffins, cookies and other strawberry goods to sell in the dinning room. On the lawn, others will be selling berries by the basket.

Anyone wishing to reserve quarts in advance may call the church at 364-8603 Wednesday, July 9, and leave an order with their name and phone number on the answering machine.
