RUMFORD – There will be a public supper held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Rumford United Methodist Church at Linnell Street.

Menu will include baked beans, spaghetti, coleslaw, various casseroles, rolls, beverage and a choice of pie for dessert.

Dixfield schedules special meetings

DIXFIELD – The town of Dixfield will hold a public hearing, prior to the regular selectmen’s meeting, on Monday, May 10, at 4:30 p.m. at the Ludden Memorial Library community room, to hear comments concerning the adoption of a town resolution titled “Town of Dixfield: Resolution-Androscoggin Region Pine Tree Zone.”

There will also be a special town meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 24, in the Dixfield fire station kitchen, following the regular selectmen’s meeting, to vote on the acceptance of Child Hollow Road and the adoption of the above resolution.

Canton to consider grants

CANTON – The town of Canton will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, to discuss phase II of the fire station grant and phase II of the innovative housing grant. The meeting will be held at the Canton Municipal Building.
