RUMFORD – The veteran’s service officer will not be at the CareerCenter on Congress Street on Thursday, April 8. His next visit to Rumford will be Thursday, April 22, at his usual time of 9 a.m. until noon.
Fund-raiser for Moontide festival
RUMFORD – A fund-raiser to benefit the Moontide Water Festival will be held Saturday, April 10, at the Eagles Hall.
A New England boiled dinner will be available and The Wright Brothers Two comedy troupe will perform. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per couple. Tickets may purchased by calling 369-9087, 369-9138, 364-7854 or 364-4806. Tickets also can be purchased at Port to Port, Congress Street and Dr. Roberts Chiropractic, Exchange Street.
Eagle members and their guests are being reminded that karaoke will take place in the club’s social room following the show.
Cycling club
meeting planned
FARMINGTON – The Farmington Cycling Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, in North Dining Hall at the University of Maine at Farmington.
The purpose is to set up a ride schedule, discuss ways to set up and communicate rides, and talk about upcoming local cycling events.

April square dance
WILTON – Friendship Squares Square Dance Club will host an April dance starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Cushing School.
The caller will be Walter Lougee and the cuer will be Scott Williams. All are welcome.
