MEXICO – The annual Roxbury town meeting will be held at the Mountain Valley Middle School auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 1. The location has been changed because there is no running water at the town building and the furnace was so noisy at last year’s meeting it was difficult to hear people speak.

Nominations for several positions will come from the floor. Residents will elect:

• A selectman to replace Stephen True, who has completed his three-year term.

• Town Clerk Delia Knapp is seeking a fifth, one-year term as town clerk, tax collector and treasurer.

• Cemetery Committee member Sylvia Touchette will seek another three-year term.

Residents will vote on a total of 55 warrant articles and if all pass, they will have approved a $318,299 municipal budget, down from last year.

Residents will be served coffee and sweets starting at 6 p.m.
