In response to all of the comments since Election Day concerning Question 1, I feel compelled to support the many people who are viewed as haters simply for defending the truth as they should do.
As for marriage, people of Jesus’ day were not thinking about what God intended for marriage, but had settled for marriages of convenience. So much so that marriage and divorce became regarded as transactions similar to buying and selling land. Said Jesus… “But it certainly isn’t God’s way. For from the very first he made man and woman to be joined together permanently in marriage.”
Marriage was not invented by some dude who thought it would be a great idea to create benefits and tax exemptions. Marriage is a personal gift from God, intended to unite man and woman into one flesh, just as sex also is a gift from God, to be preserved only for marriage. Why not read the facts for yourselves?
No one has stopped any of you from living the lifestyle you choose to live. Why would it take a piece of paper from the church you want to distance yourselves from to allow you to be happy?
Why continue to try to change God’s law for your own personal purpose? Why not live the life you choose and let it be.
