WILTON – The First Congregational Church of Wilton, United Church of Christ, will hold its annual Christmas Eve Service and Candlelight Sing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the church on Main Street. There will be a children’s pageant and children’s story with special music provided by violinist Katie Wegner, accompanied by Nancy Cureton on the church pipe organ. All are welcome.

Lessons, carols

FARMINGTON – The birth of Jesus will be celebrated at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church at 7 p.m. on Christmas eve, Friday, Dec. 24. The community is welcome. The service will feature lessons and carols, as well as a special story by Pastor Susan Crane. The choir, directed by Dan Woodward and accompanied by organist Robin Barron, will sing “Child of God.” The service will include the traditional singing of “Silent Night” while candles are being lit throughout the congregation.

The service is being co-sponsored by Farmington Area Ecumencial Ministry. A special offering will be received to benefit the new Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund, emergency heating assistance for people in need.

Carols, candles

PHILLIPS – The Phillips Shared Ministry will have a Christmas eve service of carols and candles at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the Methodist Church. All are welcome.
