LIVERMORE FALLS – A husband and wife from Livermore Falls face several charges following their arrests Wednesday.

James Burnham, 34, is charged with criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, refusing to submit to arrest and escape, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

His wife, Holly Burnham, 23, was charged with hindering apprehension of Burnham, Steward said.

James Burnham was arrested after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A Maine Department of Human Services representative and police had gone to the Burnham’s Fairview Avenue residence on May 6 and found James Burnham there when he wasn’t supposed to be, Steward said.

Burnham threatened the DHS representative and the officer, Steward said. The officer attempted to arrest him when he fled from the area on foot, Steward said.

Police had looked for him since then. They finally caught up with him May 19, Steward said.
