STRATTON – A benefit spaghetti supper will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the Stratton Elementary School. Proceeds from the supper will assist Alex Tuttle in paying expenses to attend the National Snowboard Competitions in New Mexico. In addition to the supper, there will be a silent auction, a raffle and guessing games. Tuttle is a seventh-grader at Stratton Elementary School and has been snowboarding for three years. Society meeting

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Historical Society will hold its first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. March 17 in the society room by the Town Office. Program planning for future meetings will be the topic. Those attending are asked to bring ideas. The public is invited.

Forum breakfast

WILTON – A community forum breakfast will be held from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, at the Wilton Congregational Church on Main Street. Allison Hagerstrom from the Franklin County Economic Development Corp. will speak on economic development. All are welcome.

Watershed talk

FARMINGTON – Chuck Knox, president of the Androscoggin River Watershed Council, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, in Lincoln Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington. Knox will focus primarily on important issues now facing the Androscoggin watershed from the headwaters of the river in the Rangeley region to the Atlantic coast. He will discuss how the federal Clean Water Act of 1972 and other major legislation has had large impacts in Maine and beyond. This Western Maine Audubon program is free and open to the public.

Choir concert

FARMINGTON – A free concert featuring the 65-voice a cappella Crown College Choir from Minnesota will be given at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in the Bassroom of Franklin Memorial Hospital. Maple Days

LIVERMORE – Maple Days at the Norlands Living History Center will feature all you can eat pancakes served with pure maple syrup from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 20, and from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21. Visitors may choose to ride or walk to the sap house and experience the process of making maple syrup. Starting with the collection of sap and taking it to the sap house, the public can then watch as the sap is turned into syrup by boiling it down. Participants may choose to eat the fruit of their labor prior to working or refuel after they have collected the sap and helped make the syrup. The pancakes will be served in the Farmer’s Cottage and will cost $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 10 years old. A charge of $1 will be taken for the ride to the sap house or participants may walk.

Spaghetti supper

FARMINGTON – A spaghetti supper fund-raiser, sponsored by the Future Business Leaders of America and American Sign Language students at Mount Blue High School, has been rescheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the high school cafeteria. Any tickets already purchased for the dinner, originally planned for Feb. 27, will be honored on March 24. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the high school students or at the door.
