JAY – School committee members are looking for a Jay resident interested in serving on the board until an election in April.
There is a vacant position on the five-member board.
Jim Durrell resigned as chairman and as a board member this month.
Committee members have the authority to appoint someone to fill a vacant position on the board until the next election.
There are two, three-year committee positions up for election in April as well as one to complete Durrell’s term.
Nomination papers for the April 20 election are available at the Town Office.
If someone is interested in applying for the short-term committee position until the April election, he or she should stop by the superintendent’s office or call 897-3936.
