LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating the theft of two purses from vehicles parked at a Baldwin Street lot.

The vehicles had been parked at the Curves lot after the business had closed for the evening, said police Chief Ernest Steward Jr.

Among the items victims reported stolen were $70, a cell phone, credit cards, licenses, checkbook, a Social Security card and a wallet, Steward said.

It’s the second time within a few weeks that handbags have been taken from unlocked vehicles in the area.
