Dear Sun Spots: I recently inherited heirloom diamond rings which have been recently appraised by Days Jewelers. I would like to know the best way to obtain cash for them, short of a pawn shop. I am not in desperate need of money, nor will I ‘give’ them away. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
You might consider contacting Nelson Rarities Inc., Two Monument Square, Seventh Floor, P.O. Box 453, Portland, ME 04112, 1-800-882-3150.

Another possible option might be listing them on eBay or in the classified ads of a local paper or other publication.

Dear Sun Spots: A few days ago No Name, No Town was inquiring where to purchase lighted house numbers, specifically the ones made in Canada. We sell them, but unfortunately we are in Florida, and do not have our information with us. If they were not in a hurry to purchase one we will be home around the 10th of April. We may be reached at that time by phoning, 645-2472, or by mail to B & N Crosby, 398 Keep Road, Jay, ME 04239, or by e-mail, [email protected]. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for any living relatives in the surrounding area, or counties, who might know the whereabouts of Thomas Madigan. He would be in his early 90s, if still living. Any information would be much appreciated. Please respond via the Sun Spots column, including your contact information such as e-mail, phone number or address. Thank you. – No Name, No Town.
