JAY – Police charged a 17-year-old Jay boy after he allegedly attempted to attend a high school dance after drinking alcohol.
Sgt. Charles Keene cited the teen for possession of alcohol by a minor and consumption of alcohol by a minor, Chief Larry White Sr. said.
Keene discovered that the teen and an another teen had allegedly been drinking at a Livermore Falls’ home before the dance, White said. The other youth also faces charges, he added.
Police are also investigating a case of an adult supplying alcohol to a minor, criminal mischief and vandalism, and theft of a bicycle and a car.
Officer Richard Caton IV is investigating the allegation of an adult supplying liquor at B.J.’s Trailer Park, White said.
Caton is also looking into a report of someone smashing the windows out of a vehicle at B.J.’s park.
Officer Stephen Smith is investigating a report of a rock thrown through a storm door on Pleasant Drive, and officer Steve Gould is looking into a report of a smashed mailbox on Hyde Road.
Also under investigation is a bicycle stolen from Hyde Road, White said. He said it is a BMX Freestyle, black and red color with some white.
Officer Eric Goodrow is investigating a picnic table at the Church Street Playground being spray painted with vulgarities, White said.
Town custodian Larry Wright is going to repaint the table, he said.
Goodrow is also looking into the report of a gray, 1985 Dodge Aries stolen from 4 Otis St.
