RANGELEY – The Franklin County Firemen’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Oquossoc Station.

All fire departments should be represented at these meetings as there are important announcements and information available for all departments.

The host department will provided refreshments after the meeting, drawing for the door prize and the program. All members are invited to attend as well as interested community members.

Teachers convene

NEW SHARON – The Franklin County Retired Teachers Association will hold its meeting at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the New Sharon United Methodist Church. Clara Fitz will host the meeting and Wilma Hobbs will introduce the program, titled Laptops in the Schools, with guest speaker Chris Brinkman and some students. Harvest Dance

set for Oct. 25

FARMINGTON – There are 20 tickets still available for Farmington Emblem Club’s Harvest Dance to be held Oct. 25 at the Elks Lodge. The ticket price of $25 a couple includes a boiled dinner from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the dance at 8 p.m. To reserve tickets, phone Shannon Smith at 778-4726.
