CANTON – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls and Ponemah Rebekah Lodge of Canton will hold a joint installation of officers Friday, Oct. 8, at the lodge hall in Canton. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a potluck at 6 p.m.

District Deputy President Frances Barry, Deputy Marshal Betty Harriman and their suite of officers will be the installing staff.

Members of Charity Lodge are being asked to take salads for the supper.

FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Farmington Public Library. Megan Roberts’ program will be “Using Photographs in Your Genealogy.” It also will cover using photographs as a historical record in holiday gifts.
